Photos by CRVC vice-president Ed H, taken in front of his home. The second picture, taken at 04:00 am is the "Red Moon". More: Newsweek, EarthSky.org, ABCNews From Ed: Good Evening Everyone!! Well I thought I better work on getting these pictures sent out to all of us, prior to letting dust settle on the camera. This was a Nice Walk we did this past Sunday (AUGUST 03, 2014) and those of us there thought we did rather well climbing up to the Top to See the Fantastic View, WOW we were up there - I think Dick said it was 1796 foot elevation, if I'm incorrect - let me know!! This might take awhile to get the pictures I have chosen to send out - 13 out of 46, so All of You got Real Lucky and don't have to deal with all 46 of them!! Have a Nice Remaining Week - Hope to See You Tomorrow at the Wednesday Group Walk, doing "The Grotto" walking event. Knowing some of you might not make it. ed Photos: Ed H. Note: Attached is the Sacramento Walking Sticks Newsletter with some of their club members and their thoughts of the recent Columbia River Biennial Gorge Event last June 2014. ... ed h. ... Good morning, I remembered to send you a copy of the new No Sweat Gazette, the Sacramento Walking Sticks newsletter. Why? Because we did a feature article that showcased several member’s stories about their attending the Columbia River Gorge this year. I thought it would be a fun idea to let people know that there are all different ways to go up to Oregon, where they can stay and what they can do. We’re still talking about what a great time we had. Thank you, again, for hosting such a phenomenal event to all of us. Sincerely, Barbara Nuss, President www.SacramentoWalkingSticks.org ![]()
